Kalamalka Lake

Kalamalka Lake is a must go for kayaker/paddleboarders. Known as the “lake of a thousand colours," Kalamalka Lake is 'marl lake' which results in the turquoise hues of the lake changing colours throughout the summer as the lake warms and the dissolved calcium carbonate crystalizes. The rocky shoreline and beaches are perfect for exploring for paddlers and the water is warm enough to swim during the summer months. It was carved by glaciers eons ago and is now a watersports paradise, located 10 kilometres south of Vernon.
